I'm a retired elementary teacher, principal, science instructor, and coordinator of elementary teaching interns in the Department of Education at Michigan State University. I received her Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees at Eastern Michigan University and administrative certification at Michigan State University.
After journaling some of my memories in the classroom, and after retirement from the public schools I published The Good, The Oops! and the Funny; Events in the Life of a Teacher. This was followed by a chapter book, Danger on the Cliffs. I then concentrated on writing picture books, Wooster, the Rooster; Tanner’s Turtle; The Schoolhouse Mouse, and What’s Under All Those Leaves, and If I Had a Dinosaur. Memoirs of working at the college level, And you Thought I Retired, was written after retiring from Michigan State University. I also compiled and published The History of Bancroft; A Pictorial History of the Town and its People. I'm now working on another picture book, The Story of Honk, the Goose.
I grew up in Carleton, Michigan but moved to Bancroft with my husband, Harold, where we operated the Love Funeral Home for forty years. I'm continuing to write memoirs of my life.
